The Next Environmental Catastrophe

Everyone is all worried about global warming, pollution, and overflowing landfills. However, what we really need to worry about is the air trapped in plastic bottles. Yup, that’s right. After enjoying the contents of the bottle, most people seal the cap back on and with it a bottle full of air. Different sources indicate that it takes hundreds or even thousands of year for a plastic bottle. Eventually all the air in the world is going to be trapped in bottles in the landfill and we’re all going to suffocate. So please save the planet…don’t put that lid back on the bottle before disposing of it.

These are the types of strange things that occupy my mind.

Actually if you toss these bottles into the ocean, they will gather in one spot where they can be used as shooting practice.

Could be a really interesting movie plot….. 1000’s of years later the plastic breaks down and the world is plagued by old diseases that we thought were gone but incubating in plastic bottles.

:::dies laughing:: They will be digging them suckers up one day looking for a fresh air fix I tell ya!

Plastic bottles are a growing problem in our landfills and oceans. We felt that something needed to be done……and now.

We knew that there wasn’t going to be one “fix it all” answer and began to wonder if anything was ever going to be done. The problem was growing every day, more bottles were being manufactured and more bottles were accumulating in places where we didn’t need them.

We were wondering if “Earth Friendly Bottles” would ever be available?

That’s why we decided to do our part and started ENSO Bottles. We are partnering with other companies to offer a PET plastic bottle that will biodegrade, compost or recycle.

Our bottles can be produced in a clear or colored version, however, clear version isn’t quite as clear as current PET plastic bottles but then again that’s one way to identify our earth friendly bottle.

ENSO is trying to achieve sustainability with our plastic bottles. Our goal is to make bottles that won’t have the adverse impact on our environment and are made from non food bio-fuels.

We haven’t started making them from bio-fuel but that’s high on our agenda and hopefully will be something we can offer in the future.

But for now, we offer a plastic bottle that is earth friendly…it’s just one step but if we all take just one step toward improving our planet….we will make a difference.

Now all we need is for a lot of beverage companies to start using earth friendly plastic bottles.

I bet that’s what killed the dinosaurs, nobody ever mentions the plastic bottle consumption theory, no, they always go for the stray meteorite ending their party, but I think 7up was their downfall. Further expanding my theory on this, I doubt they buried their bottles which lead to global plastic warming,
add that to the bad air and whammo.

We need to learn from the past.

  7. Bryan Says:

Matt, an excellent point. It’s a good thing we’re burying our plastic bottles until we can find a better alternative. Once Max’s bio-degradable bottles are available, we can resume throwing the bottles on the ground like the dinosaurs did. They’ll likely degrade faster that way anyway. We’ll actually find it environmentally-friendly to throw trash on the ground rather than burying it.

I think their may be a fossil of a plastic bottle in the British museum, how do these academics not spot the obvious?

  9. Matt Says:

Nb – I bet they spotted my spelling mistake though (there goes another grant well spent)
