The Best of Times, The Worst of Times

Well, I’ve doing this crazy blogging thing for almost 4 months now. It was an early New Year’s resolution that I have actually kept. I am really enjoying it. I have met new friends and become more connected with existing friends. There is also something very rewarding about taking the time to put together a good post and watching the numbers come in. There’s just something kind of cool about somehow impacting where web surfing traffic goes. Anyway, I was taking a moment to reflect and wanted to share with you my top 10 posts as well as the lonely 10 that barely received a glance.

First off, here are your 10 favorite posts all time. If you have missed out on some of these, now is your chance to catch up.

  1. About   59
  2. Am I Deaf?   43

Ah yes, and the shameful 10. Perhaps there’s a gem in there that most everyone missed. Most likely though, they just suck and you’ll waste your time reading them. Your choice.

Most of my personal favorites appear in the top 10 list. However, a couple did not:

Her Place Is in the Kitchen

I Want To Be Mr. Potato Head

That you’ve only been blogging a few months is amazing to me. You write like you’ve been doing this for years. You must have really been reading quite a bit before you jumped into it yourself. Nice job getting this thing started!

Thanks so much for the kind words. Writing is actually a passion that has just lain dormant for many years. I remember getting compliments on my writing skills from a junior high teacher. I followed through by joining the high school newspaper staff and taking a creative writing course.

I actually considered journalism as a career, but found that I preferred nerdy computer stuff more. Hindsite is always 20/20, but journalism might have been a career less likely to get outsources. Oh well.

Congratulations! You have high traffic for such a young blog. Well deserved too, I must say.

    @ Rick
I can tell you from personal experience that just reading tons of all sorts of blogs doesn’t always with help with writing a good one 😦

Thank you also for the kind words.
